Terms of Service

Last updated: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM LAST UPDATED DATE]

1. Overview

Welcome to Apolido. Apolido is an online service booking system that connects clients with skilled workers and leadmen for jobs such as masonry, welding and painting. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Apolido. They apply to everyone who uses it, whether as a client, worker, leadman, or administrator.

You must read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy before creating an account. By ticking the agreement box on the Create Account page, or by continuing to use Apolido, you confirm that you have read and accepted them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Apolido is operated by [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT OFFICIAL BUSINESS NAME OR RESPONSIBLE PERSON]. These Terms take effect on [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM EFFECTIVE DATE].

2. The Services Apolido Provides

Apolido provides online tools for:

  • browsing worker and leadman profiles by trade;
  • sending service requests and booking workers for chosen dates;
  • submitting and reviewing proof of payment for deposits and final payments;
  • following the progress of a job through before-and-after photo updates;
  • confirming completed work and leaving ratings and reviews; and
  • notifications about bookings and payments.

Payments are made outside the platform (for example by GCash or bank transfer) and then recorded on Apolido with a proof of payment. Apolido does not process card payments.

3. Account Registration and Your Responsibilities

3.1 Creating an account

Clients create their own account on the Create Account page. You provide your full name, email address, a Philippine mobile number and a password. A company name is optional. Worker and leadman accounts are not self-registered; they are created and managed by the Apolido administrator.

3.2 Verification

We send a verification link to your email address. The link is valid for 30 minutes, and your account is not active until it is verified.

3.3 Keeping your account safe

  • Give accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
  • Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • An account is temporarily locked after repeated incorrect password attempts. You can regain access by resetting your password through the link sent to your email.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account.

3.4 Eligibility

Minimum age and eligibility: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM AGE REQUIREMENTS].

4. Responsibilities of Clients, Workers, Leadmen and Admins

Apolido has four kinds of accounts. What each can do depends on its role in the system.

4.1 Clients

A client submits service requests with accurate details (trade needed, job location, dates, number of workers, notes), pays the required deposit, gives safe access to the job site, follows the progress of the job, confirms or reports completed work within a reasonable time, and may leave a review.

4.2 Workers

A worker keeps to the job assigned to them, takes part in the work on the scheduled dates, and performs the work with reasonable skill and care. The team leader of a booking posts the before-and-after photos for each work day, marks the job as complete once every scheduled day has its photos, and submits the proof of the final payment.

4.3 Leadmen

A leadman leads a team on a booking, coordinates its members, posts progress updates, and carries out the same team-leader steps as above. Requests for 10 or more workers are handled through a leadman.

4.4 Admins

Administrators run the platform: they verify or reject payments, manage workers, trades and bookings, assign teams and team leaders, moderate reviews, and record payouts to workers. Administrators act only within their authorised role.

5. Worker Profiles, Trades, Skills and Availability

Worker profiles may show a worker's name, photo, trade, bio, years of experience, daily rate and average rating. Worker details such as worker ID, trade, email, phone and experience are entered and managed by the Apolido administrator.

  • Availability reflects the bookings and blocked dates recorded in the system. A worker who is already booked for your dates may be shown as deployed.
  • The platform may suggest or recommend workers. A recommendation is a convenience only and does not guarantee quality, availability or any particular result.
  • The daily rate on a profile is used to compute the booking amount at the time you submit your request.
  • Administrators can deactivate a worker profile, which removes it from public listings and from new bookings.

6. Service Requests, Bookings and Worker Assignments

6.1 How a booking progresses

A booking moves through the following stages. Not every booking uses every stage.

  • Pending payment — you submit a request and the booking is created, waiting for your deposit.
  • Payment verification — you upload your proof of deposit and Apolido reviews it.
  • Confirmed, assigned and scheduled — once the deposit is verified, the workers are reserved for your dates, a team leader is set, and the job waits for its start date.
  • In progress — work has started and the team posts before-and-after photos for each work day.
  • Awaiting completion — the team leader has marked the job complete and asks for your confirmation. If you do not respond, the platform confirms the work automatically after 24 hours.
  • Awaiting final payment, completed, reviewed — after the work is confirmed, the team leader submits proof of the remaining balance and an administrator verifies it. Once verified, the booking is marked completed and you may leave a rating.
  • Cancelled — the booking was cancelled by you or by an administrator.

6.2 Group size and added days

Requests for up to 9 workers are made directly. Requests for 10 or more workers need a leadman. You can ask to add another day to an existing booking; each added day has its own deposit.

6.3 Worker assignments

Workers are reserved for your dates only after the deposit is verified. If a deposit is rejected, you may be asked to review worker availability before you submit it again. Administrators assign the team and the team leader.

7. Deposits, Payment Proofs and Final Payments

7.1 Deposit

The booking amount is computed from the worker rates when you submit the request. A deposit, set as a percentage of that amount in the platform settings, is required to confirm the booking. The system default is 50%. Current deposit: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM CURRENT DEPOSIT PERCENTAGE AND DEPOSIT POLICY].

7.2 Proof of payment

After paying, you upload a screenshot or photo of your proof of payment and enter the payment reference number. Apolido reviews each proof manually. A payment is either verified or rejected, and a rejected payment may be resubmitted. The payment method details (account name, number and QR code) are shown at the payment step. Accepted payment methods: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS].

7.3 Final payment

The remaining balance is calculated by the platform from the booking amount and the payments already verified, and is shown on your booking. In the platform, the team leader submits the proof of the final payment (reference number and screenshot), not the client, and an administrator verifies it. Who pays the remaining balance, to whom, and how: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT APPROVED FINAL PAYMENT PROCESS].

7.4 Deadlines and fees

Payment deadlines: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT PAYMENT DEADLINES]. Fees, if any: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT APPLICABLE FEES, IF ANY].

7.5 No guarantee until verified

A payment is not treated as received until an administrator has verified it. Submitting false or altered proof of payment is a prohibited activity.

8. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

8.1 What the platform currently allows

A client can cancel their own booking only while it is still waiting for payment and has no live payment, meaning no proof is submitted, under review or verified (a booking whose only proofs were rejected can still be cancelled). Once a booking is confirmed, only an Apolido administrator can cancel it, and only before it is completed.

8.2 Cancellation after the deposit

[TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT APPROVED CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY]

8.3 Refunds and deposits

[TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT APPROVED REFUND AND DEPOSIT-FORFEITURE RULES]

8.4 Rescheduling

[TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT APPROVED RESCHEDULING POLICY]

9. Reviews, Ratings and Appropriate Use

After a booking is completed (or through the general review form on the homepage), a client may leave a 1 to 5 star rating with an optional title and comment, and may choose to appear as Anonymous. Reviews may be shown on the Apolido website and are used to compute a worker's average rating.

  • Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience.
  • Fake or paid reviews, harassment, impersonation, and the sharing of personal contact details in reviews are not allowed.
  • Administrators can flag, hide or remove reviews that break these rules. Some reviews are flagged automatically, for example when they contain contact information or have a rating of 2 stars or lower.

10. Prohibited Activities

You agree to use Apolido only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You must not:

  • make fraudulent or fake bookings, or submit false, altered or someone else's proof of payment;
  • give misleading profile or booking information, or impersonate another person;
  • share, sell or misuse an account, or use another person's account without permission;
  • harass, threaten or abuse clients, workers, leadmen or administrators;
  • arrange or take payment for platform-booked work outside Apolido to avoid its payment process; or
  • attempt to bypass security, access other users' data, or disrupt the platform.

11. Account Restrictions and Service Disputes

11.1 Restrictions

We may deactivate a worker profile or cancel a booking if these Terms are broken or if it is needed to protect the platform and its users. Suspension notice and appeal process: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT SUSPENSION NOTICE AND APPEAL PROCEDURE].

11.2 Deleting your account

Clients can delete their account in Settings after confirming their password. This is not available while there is an active booking, or an unpaid balance on a finished booking. Deleting an account deactivates it and signs you out. Your name, email address, phone number, company name, profile photo and saved addresses are removed or replaced, and the password is made unusable. Booking and payment records are not deleted; they are kept for operational and financial reasons.

11.3 Service issues and complaints

Workers can report a problem with a payout through the platform, and administrators review these reports. Reporting service issues, disagreements, damage claims or complaints: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT SERVICE ISSUE AND COMPLAINT PROCESS].

11.4 Liability

Liability, warranties and damage claims: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT APPROVED LIABILITY AND WARRANTY TERMS].

11.5 Governing law and disputes

Governing law: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM GOVERNING LAW]. Dispute-resolution process and venue: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM DISPUTE-RESOLUTION PROCESS AND JURISDICTION (REQUIRES OWNER OR LEGAL REVIEW)].

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page, with its last-updated date at the top. How we notify users of important changes: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — CONFIRM HOW USERS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF CHANGES]. Continuing to use Apolido after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Contact Information

  • Business or responsible person: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT OFFICIAL BUSINESS NAME OR RESPONSIBLE PERSON]
  • Email: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT OFFICIAL CONTACT EMAIL]
  • Telephone: [TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — INSERT OFFICIAL CONTACT NUMBER]
